MELINDA RODRIGUEZ

Combining her diverse percussive talents and extensive background in spiritual mentoring and motivational presentations, Melinda created DRUMFUSION as an integrative medium that unites the powerful, ancient tool of drumming with modern communities ready to awaken to their natural brilliance.  As a passionate percussionist utilizing recreational drumming as Rhythm Alchemy, Melinda sees the drum as a transformational tool that ignites passion and awakens purpose.  She is a Professional Drum Circle Facilitator and has trained with such masters as Arthur Hull, Mamady Keita and many other extraordinary teachers of the drum. With an eclectic background & education in West African, Native American, Middle Eastern & Latin percussion, Melinda has lead hundreds of drumming and motivational events with a dazzling style that enables people to feel energized, inspired and uplifted.  

Melinda has been teaching and presenting in the field of spiritual and personal development for over a decade. During that time she was invited by Drum Cafe to share her talents and wisdom with corporations as team building and motivational programs involving drumming. Since 2005 she has presented over 250 programs to globally recognized companies such as Microsoft, Disney, Southwest Airlines, Stanford University, the American Heart Association and St. Josephs, just to name a few. The profound transformation she has facilitated and witnessed within these organizations has been monumental, both on an individual level as well as the whole of each group. This insightful, observed transformation prompted Melinda to bring this kind of percussive experience to every type of community outside of the corporate genre including school faculties, women's groups, retreats, youth groups and more.  Everyone can benefit from this transformational body of work and every community deserves to thrive; to be inspired, uplifted and empowered - it is our birthright!  This passion is what drives Melinda to continue to share the ancient transformational tool of drumming with modern audiences everywhere. 

Melinda is also a Mentor and Inspirational Teacher specializing in the field of Personal & Spiritual Development.  Melinda’s internationally acclaimed certification curriculum and one-on-one personal mentoring reflect her passion and commitment to helping people overcome obstacles and find purpose and balance.  Melinda is certified as a Spiritual Counselor through the American Board of Hypnotherapy.  She also holds several certifications in various integrative healing studies.
