When we are connected to the cosmic pulse within, we are aligned with our own magnificence.  Thusly, through rhythm there is a spiritual alchemy that occurs giving us the grand opportunity to give birth to a healthier, improved version of ourselves endowed with the power to manifest resolutions, healing, and wholeness.  

This afternoon playshop will take the drum circle experience to the next level!  As an immensely powerful tool for transformation, we will explore the alchemy of rhythm through the conduit of traditional West African Drumming.  All levels are welcome – no experience or musical knowledge is necessary.  If you have a heartbeat, you have rhythm!  Beginners will be shown basic rudiments along with specific exercises & techniques to help develop and strengthen our inner rhythm while seasoned drummers will have the opportunity to work with more complex rhythms, solos and dun dun parts with bells. 

Join us as we explore the magic of making music for the mind, body and soul. Serving as Rhythm Muse, Melinda will facilitate community grooving that is guaranteed to release endorphins, unleash your inner joy, raise your vibration and awaken your divine potential. All instruments are provided, however you are encouraged to bring your own if you have them. 

The location for this workshop will be Melinda’s home in Hacienda Heights, tucked away at the base of the Arroyo Pescadero Nature Preserve, easily accessible from the 60 FWY, Hacienda Blvd. or Colima Road. Address will be provided upon registration.
